Report on mental health of refugees and people seeking asylum

During our Annual General meeting in February 2024 we launched a report that was produced by our Wellbeing Champions, and with the support of Connected Voice – Haref. The report is part of our Wellbeing Champions project which has been funded by the Community Mental Health Transformation funding programme. It is a peer-support mental health and wellbeing scheme which aims at providing support to people with lived experience not only in order to be able to support their own community, but also to promote better mental health provision by reaching out directly to those providers in the health and social care sector.

There is more work to be done for the report, but as it aimed at being a useful tool towards a pressing matter, it is being released alongside an effort to connect those who helped put it together with the services out there, in order to develop these important direct dialogues that we think are critical.

If you wish to host a presentation and discussion relating to the topics and findings on this report with our Wellbeing Champions, please contact us at info@thecomfreyproject.org.uk.

A number of public training events will also be organised later in the year, which we will promote here.

You can read the report in its current format here Wellbing Champions Refugee Mental Health Report_2023

For any questions or to receive the report in a different format please also do not hesitate to get in touch.
