Refugee Week 2023

In this year’s Refugee Week is was all hands on deck! All our volunteers came together to organise six fantastic events showcasing the different cultures, customs, creativity and skills of our community. We had an Afghan, a Turkish, a sub-saharan African and a Hispanic event, with fantastic food and music, displays and workshops of arts and crafts, language learning and trivia. We were blessed with lovely weather so we made the most of our gardens, including a Solstice evening musical get-together, an outdoor cartoon exhibition organised with North East Diversity, Education and Solidarity and some community gardening.
