Refugee Week 2022!
For Refugee Week 2022 next week, we would love you to join us at our Windmill Hills Centre site in Gateshead, where we will celebrate with a full week’s programme of Open Days!
From 10:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, you are invited to our Windmill Hills garden to enjoy gardening and creative activities, see a fantastic photography exhibition and enjoy delicious food.
At 12:30 on every day of the week, we will be providing a delicious free lunch from a different part of the world, as well as Turkish Coffee, Tea and Desserts available all day.
Here are a few of the programmed activities:
- Monday 20th: Karaoke
- Tuesday 21st & Wednesday 22nd: Turkish Traditional Arts
- Thursday 23rd: Gardening and Bee Walks
- All Week: “Belonging” Photography & Art exhibition by Comfrey Volunteers and artist Melisa Maida
- Friday 24th: ‘Belonging’ exhibition celebration (11:30am-1pm)

And that’s not all – on Saturday, we will host CommuniTEA Party – our signature Tea Party with a difference, face to face for the first time. This event is by booking only so if you are interested, please get in touch with us!
