Breadmaking at Dilston

Our Cooking Club chefs spent a fascinating day at Mencap Dilston College with Dave and Simon from ABC Coop Bakery recently.

Dave and Simon often work at the bakery at Dilston College with a group of men who come together to bake lovely bread and sell it around the region at markets.

On this occasion they worked with Mitra, Safia, Nadira and Shantini to bake pan rustic and sourdough breads.

Thanks also to Dave for some amazing soup. The gentlemen really looked after us!
