A session for women from the Afghan community.

For the past 2 years we have been supporting women from the Afghan Community in Gateshead to come together, improve their English and learn craft skills, cooking, attend training and volunteer in their community.

The women have become expert dress-makers and habitually now create clothes for their whole family. They have also received a Food Hygiene certificate and have cooked at events at The Comfrey Project but also in support of community meals on wheels projects.

This programme is a contract awarded by Gateshead council and it is not open to referrals from other agents.
