Wellbeing Wednesdays with Mind

EventsUpdates

We’re happy to announce a new series of sessions at The Comfrey Project, hosted in partnership with Tyneside and Northumberland Mind.

These sessions are part of our ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’ programme – a series of weekly drop-in sessions where we create a calming space for all to enjoy and focus on their health and wellbeing. Using creative and calming activities such as soap making, hand massage, painting and nature-based crafts, we create a relaxed environment that helps people to feel grounded.

Joining us every for every first and third Wednesday of the month, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind will be offering a unique opportunity for participants to explore creative wellbeing tools designed to help them better understand and manage their emotions. Using activities and models such as the Circle of Control and the Iceberg Model, we use visual depictions and metaphors to gain deeper insights into our feelings and emotions, helping to foster improved mental health and emotional wellbeing. Sessions are already underway and have received great feedback, with one volunteer expressing “The first session was great – I got to be creative and also learn a new way to understand that people’s feelings are often bigger than what you see on the surface. I am excited to learn some other ways of understanding my feelings”.

You are most welcome to join us for these drop-in sessions. There is no need to register or book in advance, but if you would like more information, you can contact us at info@thecomfreyproject.org.uk or visit Tyneside and Northumberland Mind
