We were delighted to host our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 20th of February, bringing together trustees, staff, volunteers, and members of the Comfrey community for a moment of reflection and celebration.
During the meeting, our trustees presented the accounts and report for the year 2023-2024, highlighting the progress we’ve made and the impact of our work. However, as always, the most inspiring part of the event was hearing from our volunteers. They shared heartfelt stories about how being part of the Comfrey community has helped them navigate challenges, build confidence, and realise their potential.
Following the formal presentations, we embraced the opportunity to celebrate together. Guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared by our Afghan Chai session participants and Graze Newcastle (visit their page here). The afternoon featured live music from our volunteers, creating a warm and lively atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to making the AGM a success.
