Finance and Office Manager

Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (depending on experience); pro rata, based on FT 37.5

Working hours: 22.5 hours per week, days tbc

Contract type: Permanent

We are looking for a motivated and highly organised individual to assist with operational management and monitor financial activity, as well as, offer support to other functions around the organisation including administration, communications and HR.

Session Coordinator

A passionate, confident coordinator with excellent people and communication skills is needed to manage existing and new sessions for asylum seekers, refugees and the wider community, with the purpose of promoting community participation,  intercultural dialogue, skill and confidence building.

About The Comfrey Project

The Comfrey Project is a small charitable organisation first established in 2002. We support the mental health and social needs of primarily, but not exclusively, asylum seekers and refugees. We specialise in Therapeutic Horticulture, offering weekly sessions where participants help maintain and develop our community garden in Gateshead and two allotments in Newcastle. Other regular activities include cooking, arts and crafts, trips, courses, signposting and more.
